This blog badly needs updates, so here.

Pardon me if this will be a long entry as I badly need to vent out my frustrations and thoughts recently. Hahaha, as if serious ang entry?!
As I write this entry, I just proceeded to checkout my Amazon order. It’s my first time to buy from there actually (thanks to Karmi for allowing us to ship all those stuff in their house) since we wanted to take advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping promo. I got the remaining Gilmore Girls seasons that I still don’t have (Seasons 4, 6, and 7) since they never reached the Philippine shores. I also got the 3rd Season of Grey’s Anatomy, DVDs - Dedication, Georgia Rule, and Same Time Next Year (for my mom). And the one thing I wasn’t sure of getting at this time - the AppleCare Protection Plan for my Macbook. Sure, everyone wants an additional warranty for their favorite gadgets, but this additional 2 year warranty costs a fortune! It’s $250 in the Apple store, and I got it from Amazon for $186. Sounds like a good deal, but it’s just that I’ve never been someone who breaks my gadgets, so I kinda feel that I won’t be using this one ever when it’s primary purpose is to replace stuff in your Macbook if ever they get broken in that 3 year span. Oh well, I hope it will be put to good use someday, ‘coz I honestly don’t want to pay that huge amount just for peace of mind. Hahahaha! Now I have to stash away my credit card ‘coz I’ll be having such a huge amount to pay next month. Oh Lord, help me!!! ![]()
So, today is a holiday - Labor day. I’m supposed to study since my final review is coming up (May 10) and I’m barely halfway through my reading materials. I’m such a slacker, it’s bad. Geez, how can I expect myself to pass the exam right? I just hope to find some time and strength to study in the remaining 9 days. Ugh. Despite this dilemma, I’m planning to watch a movie today. It’s been ages since I last watched a movie in the theater (my eye condition makes me not want to go out remember?). I intend to watch “When Love Begins”, call me jologs all you want but I really want to watch it. Harhar!
Since I already mentioned my eye condition, let me give some update. I went to a new eye doctor last Tuesday when I accompanied my brother to the hospital to see a dermatologist and an allergologist. I had my eyes checked (for the nth time), expecting that she would just tell me it’s all good like what my 1st doctor told me when I finished my bottle of eye drops. But no luck, the 2nd ophthalmologist told me that I have another eye condition which can be seen under my eyelids. It’s an allergy with either contact lens, the solution or just the protein buildup. Tough luck right?! She extended my wearing of glasses to another 2 weeks pending another checkup. And wait there’s more! Geez. She didn’t want to take my eye grade for some commercial reason I’d rather not expound. She also told me that I have permanent scars on my right eye due to contact lens use. Boo! Though it’s only on the superficial layer and it’s kinda negligible since I don’t feel it’s effects, just the thought I have it disturbs me. It’s calming to know though that this can be corrected when I get LASIK for my eyes. So myopia, astigmatism and scars - all will be gone with LASIK. Now I’m really excited! I’m just waiting for some time for my eyes to fully recover before I can undergo screening. I hope it all turns out ok, ‘coz like in any other surgery, it excites me and scares me at the same time. Hay, why do my eyes have to be oh so complicated and problematic?
Off to happier stuff, I just got new speakers for my Macbook. I got the fuchsia/purple JBL Spyro speakers. It’s so cute that when I saw it was available in Digital Hub in Midtown, I immediately bought it despite my self-imposed hiatus on spending. Hahaha, talk about credit card temptations!
And oh Sundae, my almost 3-month old LhasaPoo puppy! He’s still cute as ever
We tried taking him to Bonifacio High Street already (which I recently learned I shouldn’t have done since he’s still not finished with his shots hehe) and alot of people thought he wasn’t real. One even said that he might be just a battery-operated doggy. Hahahaha! Aside from the obvious cuteness, he’s such a sweetie! He waits for me every night to go home so he could come and sleep with me at my room, no matter how late! He also hugs me and the rest of the family alot! Such a baby! But recently, I’m actually concerned ‘coz he’s not eating much the way he used to, and he sleeps alot! Before, he will play in the afternoons, run around and bite his toys. These days, he just sleeps and sleeps! We brought him to the vet to have a checkup but the vet told us it’s just the hot weather and we should just make sure he’s always drinking cold water and always in a cool place. I do that now, but he’s still not eating a lot. I hope there’s really nothing wrong though
Gossip Girl and Grey’s Anatomy are both back. Thus, my TV life is back! Yay!
Lastly, this blog needs a new theme and needs to be updated to Wordpress version 2.5.1. It’s been days of searching but I haven’t found the theme I like. It sucks!

Re: Dedication
Depending on your expectations, you will either enjoy it or find it disappointing. It’s basically a grittier version of As Good As It Gets, with a lot more profanity (some of which felt downright gratuitous). It has a number of other problems, but the pluses outweigh the minuses: great performances (Billy Crudup is a more convincing troubled soul than Jack Nicholson in As Good as It Gets), some truly funny moments (especially the scenes with Bob Balaban, the publisher), and a superb soundtrack (”A Kick in the Teeth” - yeah!)
Re: Georgia Rule
The best thing about it is the inclusion of “Extraordinary” in the soundtrack! Otherwise, it’s an incoherent mess.
